Bruno Maineult
Chief Executive Officer
Bruno Maineult is the Chief Executive Officer of PhageAI SA.
He is established in Poland for 19 years and has over 25 years of experience in management including his roles as Board Member of a German tech corporation and a Polish leading Biotech company – both controlled by Private Equity - and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis of the Polish telecom incumbent.
Cross-cultural fluent and a Hi-tech enthusiast, Bruno has developed a solid experience in Biotech for the last 10 years.
Beyond his work experience in companies of all sizes, he has built his entrepreneurial skills in several innovative projects in education, multimedia and financial services as a Freelancer and as an Angel Investor in Poland.
Bruno is savvy about organization management and the impact of digitalization on individual and collective performance, particularly in cutting-edge technology development.
He graduated from the reims Business and from the INSEAD.
In his free time, Bruno enjoys river and lake fishing and watching old american movies.

Maria Urbanowicz
AI Specialist
Maria Urbanowicz is an AI Specialist.
In PhageAI SA, her main responsibilities include building, optimizing, and deploying AI models related to bacteriophage biology, monitoring existing solutions, supporting the development of the PhageAI platform, creating new tools, performing bioinformatic and statistical analyses and mentoring younger employees.
She holds a Master's degree in biology from the University of Łódź, where she also completed a 2-year bioinformatics program called "Let's Bio IT" and postgraduate studies in "Big Data - Processing and Analysis of Large Data Sets" at the Warsaw University of Technology. With over 7 years of experience in bioinformatics and data science, including academic experience, Maria has successfully completed numerous R&D projects and shared her findings through publications and conference presentations.
In her free time, Maria enjoys water and endurance sports and taking care of her two cats.

Michał Stępień
IT Manager
Michał Stępień is a Senior IT Expert.
In PhageAI SA, he is responsible for the availability and performance of the IT infrastructures, both hardware and software, cloud-based and on-premises. Very versatile and problem solving oriented, Michał excels in the design of global solutions involving hardware, software and networks. As an experienced IT Administrator, he masters the Office 365 platform and Azure environment. No virtual machines or Linux servers configuration can resist to him long. As a Developer, he focuses on Microsoft PowerApps and .NET technologies, creating custom solutions for unique business needs.
Michał has studied advanced mechanics and robotics engineering at the Łódź University of Technology.
In his free time, Michał combines his passion for solving problems through DIY electronics and software development with active cultural exploration and travel, particularly enjoying long-distance trips on his motorcycle.

Justyna Andrysiak
Senior Advisor
Justyna Andrysiak combines a passion for biotechnology and a keen grasp of the transformative power of phage technology. Having been part of the leading phage company Proteon since 2009, her vital contributions to phage-based solutions have helped bridge the gap between scientific research and practical applications.
In her roles, Justyna continually fosters innovation and partnerships, driving the field of biotechnology and phage technology forward. Her leadership skills have been honed over years of managing complex phage-related projects and leading diverse cross-functional teams.
Justyna has successfully acquired over EUR 7.7mln in non-dilutive R&D and commercial grants. Navigating the dynamic biotech landscape, she has harnessed emerging trends and breakthroughs, successfully overseeing the development and management of various biotech products. Justyna’s collaborative approach and strong leadership have ensured the smooth transition of projects from conception to commercialization, significantly advancing the practical application of phage-based products.
Committed to the future of phage technology, Justyna’s focus is on pioneering advancements that promote sustainable farming, contributing to a better, more sustainable future.

Prof. Jarosław Dziadek
Senior Advisor
Professor Jarosław Dziadek is an expert in microbiology, and his research focuses on the molecular genetics of tuberculosis mycobacteria. He is the author or co-author of more than 170 scientific publications, many of which have been published in prestigious journals with high impact factors. Professor Dziadek has led numerous national and international research grants and has supervised 19 PhD students, most of whom defended their doctoral theses at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection of the University of Łódź.
His international experience includes a research internship in the laboratory of Prof. Yoshikatsu Murooka at Hiroshima University (Japan) and postdoctoral research in the laboratory of Prof. Malini Rajagopalan at the University of Texas (USA).
Professor Dziadek has served as Vice-Chair of the Committee of Microbiology of the Polish Academy of Sciences and is currently a member of the Presidium of the Committee of Cell Molecular Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
From 2013 until 2024, he served as the Director of the Institute of Medical Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Currently, he is the Deputy Director for Research of this Institute. His research group's activities also comprehensively cover bioinformatic analyses.
